Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the PiPic website and image-compression service at pipic.cc. By using PiPic, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

PiPic's website lets anyone compress images they choose to submit, free of charge. We also offer an Agent CLI and API for scripted and command-line use, available on a free plan with a monthly quota or a paid Pro plan with a higher quota; the Agent CLI may be offered under separate or additional terms. Images are processed and deleted immediately after compression. We may add, change or remove features at any time. Signing in and the API tokens you create for the Agent CLI are governed by these same terms, and you are responsible for keeping your own tokens secure.

Acceptable use

Only compress images that you own or have the right to use. You agree not to misuse the service — including disrupting it, circumventing rate limits, probing or attacking our infrastructure, or submitting unlawful content. We may throttle or block usage that harms the service or other users.

Your content

You keep all rights to the images you submit. You grant us only the narrow, temporary permission needed to transmit and compress them and return the result to you. We never store your images after processing, never share them, and never use them to train machine-learning or AI models.

Free service and fair use

Compressing images on the pipic.cc website is free for everyone, with no monthly limit and no account required, and that does not change with your plan. The Agent CLI and API are metered separately by a monthly quota: the Free plan includes 100 images a month, and the Pro plan ($9/month) includes 5,000 images a month; both are also subject to technical limits (such as a per-file size cap and rate limits) that keep the service fast and available for everyone. Nothing is ever charged without your explicit agreement.

No warranty

PiPic is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that compressed output will meet your specific requirements — always keep your original files.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PiPic and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you actually paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose — which is zero if you only used the free service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page, and significant changes will be highlighted on the site. Continuing to use PiPic after a change means you accept the updated terms.
